Just another day in Paradise

 Area: Pukalani
Companion: Elder Clark

Hey hows it going again? Today, I guess, was just another day in paradise. Drove up to Haleakala, the sunrise kinda sucked this time. You couldn't even see it because we were actually in a cloud and its kinda wet when your inside of a cloud.

Its cool hearing Josh talk and stuff. You should have just sent me the whole video that would have been nice.

Sorry I wasn't able to face time either, but it sounds like everyone is doing good. It was a good Mothers Day over here, had lamb, turkey, pork, and lots of salad.   There was just a lot of food last night. Oh man and they also had guava cheese cake mmmm yummy that was pretty dang good.  I don't really even know if I was able to answer all your questions.  It didn't feel like we had a very long time to talk and stuff.

Ran into a preacher this week who wanted to Bible bash.  Elder Clark and I were like were not here to argue we just want to say a prayer.  The preacher said he would say it and he talked about ripping our hearts out and washing it.  It was pretty weird, but I was able to hold the preachers daughters hand for like 2 minutes because we were all holding hands, so I guess that's a plus!!

Sorry I wasn't able to speak Hawaiian, its a hard language ok. I have a Hawaiian B O M and read the words but i don't understand what its saying. Some people actually pray in Hawaiian and that's pretty cool to listen too.

We had to teach Elders Quorum yesterday because  most of the Elders were teaching in Primary because it was Mothers Day.

Last night at like 8pm, Elder Clark and I had to go back to the church to do some stuff.   I just decided to look at the view last night and watch the clouds eb and flow as they traveled across the sky. It was quite relaxing. Looking down at Kahului from Pukalani at night reminds me of driving out of Sardine Canyon at night time and seeing the lights of Logan as we drove out. I don't know if you understand, but we've got a killer view from up in our area. I think are pad is like 3,000 feet above sea level.   Last night I was sleeping in a cloud literally.  The clouds are different here I think or maybe its just me I dunno.

O yea, I'm also learning how to play the Ukulele.  I figured it was only right as so many people play those things around here. Even some times as a musical number and stuff.

We're teaching Donna and Juliet later today at like 5pm.  We have set up a baptism calendar with them. So if they stay on track they will be baptized sometime next month. So Shoots (they say that a lot over here) I guess I'll see you guys around.

Love, Elder Shoemaker
